Education: CFUW Kelowna Academic Awards Program
One of CFUW Kelowna's primary goals is to encourage higher education for women.
To meet this goal we offer academic awards for students graduating from high school or enrolled at Okanagan College (OC) or the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO). These awards help to relieve the increasing high costs of post-secondary education. The many comments from appreciative award recipients reassure us that our efforts make a difference.
Approximately $20,000 in awards is presented annually, generated from Club fees/fundraising, community gaming grants and endowment funds at Okanagan College and the Central Okanagan Bursary and Scholarship Society (COBSS).
We acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia for this worthwhile program
