Strut with Style: Spring Fashion Show
Coming up in April! CFUW Kelowna will be hosting a fund-raising Fashion Show at the Kelowna Golf and Country Club on Tuesday, April 28th. Tickets are $60 each (includes lunch) and are sold out. Monies raised will be for our Education Awards.
International Women's Day
We held a special International Women's Day gathering on March 8th. Below are a few photos from the event, which was very well attended, with many guests present. Speaker Nadine Hassanali, a refugee from Yemen, who currently works with the Okanagan School District told us about life for women in Yemen, her refugee experience, transition into Canadian life and her work with the school district here.
